On June 17, 2025, The Pauls Charitable Fund (PCF) proudly participated in the graduation ceremony at St. Joseph Elementary School in Hamilton, Ontario. Representing PCF were our Executive Director, Paul Njoroge, CFA, CAIA, and his nephew, Joseph Njoroge.

As part of our ongoing commitment to empowering youth through education, PCF presented three annual awards to outstanding graduating students:

• Top Student in Financial Literacy

• Top Student in Mathematics

• The Love for Learning Award — recognizing a student who consistently demonstrates a passion for learning

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the recipients and wish the entire graduating class continued success in their academic journeys.

At PCF, we believe that continuous Monitoring & Evaluation is vital in ensuring the effectiveness of our scholarship and mentorship programs. In Term 1 of 2025, we conducted a comprehensive M&E exercise from 4th March, focusing on academic progress, personal development, and overall well-being of our sponsored students. This involved school visits, one-on-one mentorship check-ins, and feedback sessions with both students and teachers. Our goal was to identify areas of strength and offer timely support in areas where students faced challenges.

The M&E process provided valuable insights into student performance and adjustment to school life. It also allowed us to monitor attendance, track engagement in school activities, and assess emotional wellness. Special attention was given to students who had recently transitioned into high school to ensure they were settling in well both academically and socially.

Beyond academics, we evaluated participation in our mentorship programs and career guidance initiatives to understand their relevance and impact. The findings have informed our planning for upcoming interventions and adjustments in student support. Through this structured and ongoing approach, PCF remains committed to ensuring every scholar receives meaningful, tailored support to thrive in all areas of their development.

On 8th November 2024, we held our Annual Career Guidance and Mental Awareness Event at STEM Hotel, Nakuru, bringing together students from both Cohort Ryan and Cohort Kelli for a day of mentorship, inspiration, and emotional support. The event was designed to equip our sponsored students with practical knowledge on career development while also addressing the importance of mental health and well-being as they navigate their academic journeys.

Throughout the event, students engaged in sessions led by professionals who provided valuable insights into career planning, subject selection, and the evolving job market. The mental health expert facilitated discussions on emotional resilience, stress management, and building confidence, creating a safe and open space for students to express themselves and learn. The event also allowed students to connect with their peers, share personal experiences, and gain motivation from each other’s stories.

The day was a meaningful reminder that education goes beyond the classroom. It includes nurturing a student's dreams, mental wellness, and personal growth. The Pauls Charitable Foundation remains committed to supporting our scholars holistically and ensuring they are well-prepared for both academic success and life beyond school.
